A week after being recognized a Class 1A Back and Lineman of the Year finalists, Cedar Bluff junior running back Jeremy Bryant and Cedar Bluff senior linebacker Josh Hampton were selected as 2004 Class 1A, Region 6 Co-Offensive and Defensive Most Valuable Player, respectively.

Valley Head’s Tyler Harrison joined Bryant as Offensive MVP co-recipient, while Valley Head’s Charles Hammon was named Coach of the Year.

The Tigers had five other players selected to the All-Region team: senior linebacker Derek Chesnut, junior quarterback/receiver Matt Wilson, junior linebacker Jo Jo Morgan, sophomore lineman Austin Hayes and sophomore running back Terry Covington.

Gaylesville senior running back Jerry Stancil, Spring Garden senior lineman Josh McAdams and Collinsville senior linebackers Ellis Lance and Vandy Hall also made the team.

Rounding out the All-Region squad is Section’s Eric Hayes, Daniel Root, Heath Gist, Tyler Rogers and Jon Corneliuson; Valley Head’s Paul Hall, Chris Thompson, Adam Battles and Jared Hulgan; Appalachian’s Josh Franklin, David Phillips and Casey Stevenson, and St. Bernard’s Gabe Taylor and Jay Lenyard.

Honorable Mentions include Cedar Bluff’s Rodney Guins, Randy White and Joe Long; Gaylesville’s Jeremy Long and Corey Colbert; Spring Garden’s Charles Doss and Josh Humphrey; Collinsville’s Jason Goza, Cody McMullins, Tyler Perea and Daniel Purvis; Section’s Cory Crawford, Cody White, Stormy Stevens, Joey Jones and Joey Farmer; Valley Head’s Aaron Grisham, Johnny Ferguson, Justin Brown and Jeff Bain, and Appalachian’s Kevin Nicodemus, Robert John-son, Jacob Lowe and J.
