On a rainy, foggy Tuesday night, Aug. 28, 2012, a small crowd slowly began to gather at the Cedar Bluff town hall for the results of this year’s municipal elections.

Running in the town of Cedar Bluff for offices were as follows:

As results became finalized it was evident that a run-off for Mayor would be between Ethel Sprouse (111) and former Mayor Martha Baker (124). Also in the mayoral race Jack Bond received 101, Sam Ellis 40 and Margaret Wallace 13. In District I, a landslide victory was gained by Billie Burkhalter with 72 votes over incumbent Evan Smith’s 35 and Jimmy Wallace’s 9. Tammy Crane will serve in District II because she was unopposed.
