Sand Rock went 4-1 for the day. The Lady Wildcats defeated Armuchee, Ga. (25-9, 25-18), Fyffe (25-9, 25-19) and Scottsboro (25-23, 25-14) in pool play. Sand Rock then defeated Class 5A Fort Payne in the semifinals 25-22, 25-15 before losing to the Lady Warriors in three games 14-25, 25-20 and 7-15.
Chasitie Goza led the Lady Wildcats by collecting 33 kills, 22 digs and six aces. Amber Ashley added 32 kills and five aces. Kelsey Hayes had 25 kills and 11 aces. Ashley Norris contributed 84 assists. Katie Pearson came away with 29 digs. Madison Smith had 11 kills, 26 digs and 10 aces. Hannah Oliver finished with 12 kills and 15 digs.
