Cherokee County wraps up softball regular season with shutout of Fort Payne

CENTRE - Tori Davis allowed four hits with one walk and eight strikeouts to lift Class 4A, No. 2 Cherokee County to a 6-0 softball victory over visiting Fort Payne on Thursday.

Davis also had a hit, scored a run and drove in two more for the Lady Warriors (26-4). Darbie Rosser led the Lady Warriors at the plate by going 3 for 4 with a run and a RBI. Madison Millsaps was 2 for 3 with three runs.

Cherokee County takes on Spring Garden on Friday at 4 p.m. in the Cherokee County Tournament at Sand Rock.
