Arrested, according to the Leesburg Police Department, were Stephanie Brooke Daughtery Jones, 33, who was charged with assault in the second degree, unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday, Sept. 15, Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum and Officer Chris Vaughn responded to the call at a residence on Cherokee County Road 44 just outside the town limits. When officers arrived at they scene, they found a white female sitting on the driveway with an injury to her leg. Cherokee EMS responded to the scene.
Following investigation, police arrested Jones, the report said. She was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
