HOKES BLUFF - Madison Smith posted nine points, nine rebounds, two steals and blocked a shot, but they weren't enough to lead the Class 2A, No. 9 Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a basketball victory on Friday at Hokes Bluff. Sand Rock fell by the final of 30-29.
Emily Langley added eight points and three boards for the Lady Wildcats (18-8). Courtney Rowe contributed six points, five rebounds, two steals and an assist.
The Lady Wildcats open Class 2A, Area 11 Tournament play against Westbrook Christian next Thursday at 5 p.m. at Sand Rock.
