The SO-COOL (School’s Out-Camp of Organized Learning), sponsored by the Centre Rotary Club and Cherokee County Alcoholism/Substance Abuse Council is now taking place Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the National Guard Armory in Centre through July 13.

On Friday, June 15, Cherokee County Public Library will host a program on Gun Safety presented by Leesburg Guns, as part of its Dream Big Summer Reading program. The program begins at 10 a.m. Bill Vasser, a retired police officer, will give the program.

Little River Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 11-15, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening. For a ride call Janie at 256-458-3344.

Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church in Rock Run will have “Amazing Wonders” Vacation Bible School June 11-15 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for all ages.

Cherokee County Celebrate Recovery offers support groups for chemical dependency, co-dependency, grief, divorce and loved ones of chemical dependency, and much more. Child care available. Call 393-2861 for more information.
