The SO-COOL (School’s Out-Camp of Organized Learning), sponsored by the Centre Rotary Club and Cherokee County Alcoholism/Substance Abuse Council is now taking place Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the National Guard Armory in Centre through July 13.

Little River Canyon Mouth Park will host a program on plants and animals at 8 p.m. at the campfire ring at DeSoto State Park campground. Park Ranger Larry Beane will host the program. Call 256-927-5838 for more information.

The Cherokee County Public Library invites everyone to participate in the library’ summer reading programs, “Dream Big.” All programs are from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day. On Friday, June 29, Eva Gardner and Odyssey will present summer activities to help you get healthy and have fun!

The Cherokee County Public Library has on ongoing book sale. Get paperbacks for as little as a dime and hardbacks for as little as 50 cents or $1. The library is open today from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.. Call the library at 256-927-5838 for further information.

Cherokee County Celebrate Recovery offers support groups for chemical dependency, co-dependency, grief, divorce and loved ones of chemical dependency, and much more. Child care available. Call 393-2861 for more information.
