The Cherokee County Public Library will host a book signing for Mike Ragland, author of Bertha from 8 a.m. until noon. The books is based on a true story of murder and intrigue in the post-World War II South.

The Cherokee County Historical Museum is open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information visit www.museumat-centre.com.

Visit Cherokee Rock Village and enjoy beautiful views, rock climbers from around the world and even hanggliding. To get to Rock Village, travel Highway 411 to the four-way stop in Leesburg, turn right, turn left on Cherokee County Road 36, travel to the intersection of County Road 36 and 70 and follow the signs.

Visit the historic Cornwall Furnace on Cherokee County Road 92 in Cedar Bluff.

A back to school rally will be held at 7 p.m. at the JFK Building on Bay Springs Road in Centre.

Sunday, July 31

Centre First Baptist Church contemporary worship service begins at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Traditional worship service begins at 11 a.m.

The Edge, a contemporary worship service that welcomes each person as he or she is and challenges us all to grow together in our faith in Jesus Christ, meets at 8:45 a.m. at Centre First United Methodist Church.

Grace Point Church of God will hold a 9:30 a.m. worship service through July 31. Discipleship classes start at 11 a.m.

Cornerstone Church is having Revival Services with the Rev. Jim Colley, starting Sunday, July 31 through Sunday, Aug. 7. Sunday services will begin at 2 p.m.

Gaylesville First Baptist Church will have Youth Sunday Services followed by a singing featuring MountainWind.
