Against Etowah, Hargitt had 11 kills, 11 digs and two blocks. Hannah Leach managed five kills, five digs and an assist. Jasmine Adams contributed six digs, two blocks, an ace and an assist. Paige Bryant came away with seven digs, two aces and an assist. Abby Storey had eight digs and a pair of kills. Raveen McElrath and Brooke Wood both had six assists, with McElrath adding a pair of digs. Marigrace Wilson finished with a pair of kills and a block.
In the win over Fort Payne, Hargitt managed seven kills, 15 digs, four blocks and three aces. Leach came away with seven kills and seven digs. Storey contributed 10 digs and four kills. McElrath posted 14 assists, 11 digs and an ace. Bryant had 11 digs and two aces. Adams and Wilson both had a kill, two digs and a block. Adams also had an ace and Wilson added an assist.
Cedar Bluff plays Hatton and Pleasant Valley in the Donoho Classic on Saturday.
Sand Rock wins area match over Westbrook Christian
SAND ROCK - Madison Smith managed 13 kills, 13 digs and three aces to lead Class 2A, No. 5 Sand Rock past Westbrook Christian in volleyball action Thursday. The scored were 25-11, 25-20 and 25-17.
Amber Ashley added 11 kills for the Lady Wildcats (18-1, 2-1 Area 13). Hannah Oliver had 14 digs. Ashley Norris finished with 31 assists.
Sand Rock hosts West End on Monday.
Collinsville defeats Pisgah
COLLINSVILLE - Class 1A, No. 5 Collinsville claimed a 25-19, 25-15, 25-8 volleyball victory over visiting Pisgah on Thursday.
Christy Cox led the Lady Panthers (11-4) with 15 kills, eight digs and three blocks. Kiana Ford came away with 11 kills, five aces and two blocks. Brittney Tidmore tallied 16 assists and seven aces. She was also 12 of 13 serving. Bailey Click finished with 12 aces and was also 16 of 17 on serve.
Collinsville plays at Pisgah in a tri-match with Plainview on Monday.
