In the City Council races, Sid Garrett received 855 votes; Frankie Kelly, 741; Harry Moon, 714; Bess Yarbrough, 601; Phillip Roberts, 497; Joe Hall, 460; Glenn Chandler, 443; Rita Stover, 342; Ronald Bates, 284; Ronnie Strawbridge, 250; Henry Wright, 248; Scott Stinson, 230; Jean Gossett, 183 and Mark Thompson, 143.
According to Centre’s unique election procedure, the seven who received the most votes will be the new council members.
