Alvie Rhee Maness, 84 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, November 6,2012 at his residence. Mr. Maness was a native of Alcorn County Mississippi, and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Edward Sandy officiating. Burial will follow in Plunkett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 pm Thursday. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net.

Survivors include his wife, Zula Morton Maness; sons, Dwight Maness, Locust Grove, Georgia, Verbon Maness, Hernando, Mississippi, Alvie Lee Maness, Acworth, daughters, Teresa Vaughn, Cedar Bluff, Melissa Burton, Piedmont; brothers, Philip Maness, Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, Burton Maness, Memphis, Tennessee, Truman Maness, Des Moines, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Maness was preceded in death by brothers, Millard Maness and Wilburn Maness.

Mr. Maness was the son of the late Lee Elgin and Ruby Lancaster Maness.
