Mr. Brian William Burleson, 35 of Centre, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Burleson was a native of Deadwood, South Dakota. He was retired from the US Army, and was a member of the 307th Engineering Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and was of the Lutheran faith.

A memorial service was held Monday, December 17, 2012 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Danny Smith and Kirk Day officiating. Interment followed at Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens at a later late. Survivors include his wife, Kelia Suzanne Oliver Burleson; son, Patrick William Henry Burleson; daughter, Lillianna Elizabeth Burleson; parents, Bill (Christine) Burleson of Deadwood, SD and Tommy & Nell Oliver of Centre; brothers, Chance Burleson of Deadwood, SD, Bo Burleson of Deadwood, SD and Matthew Bunch of Lead, SD; sisters-in-law, Kim (Bobby) Edmondson of West Point, GA, Karen (Steve) Walden of Cedar Bluff and Kelli Oliver of Centre; grandparents, Wayne & Anna Burleson of Lead, SD; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
