Mr. Connie Blaine Mackey, 67 of the Tuckers Chapel community passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Mackey was a native of Cherokee County. He was a former member of the Tennessee Carpenters and Millwrights local 654 in Chattanooga and was of the Baptist Faith.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dan Clanton and Rev. Jamie Maples officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 pm Friday. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or donations to the family. Mr. Mackey is survived by his wife Joyce Morrow Mackey, son; Artie Dewayne Mackey of the Tuckers Chapel community, brothers; Rayburn Mackey, L. B. Mackey both of Leesburg, Michael Mackey of Inman S.C., sisters; Joyce Garmon of Centre, Patricia Wadsworth of Sand Rock, two grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mackey was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Mackey, sisters; Wanda Burt and Opel Inman.
