Mr. David Joshua Smyer, 26, of Lindale, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, December 5, 2012, in a Rome hospital. Mr. Smyer was born in Chattanooga.He was the son of Derrick and Peggy Coulter Smyer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, December 8, 2012, at 2:00 pm at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.

Mr. Smyer is survived by his mother, Mrs. Peggy Leeper and her husband Robert of Cave Spring, two aunts, Mrs. Odis Ann Norris and Ms. Connie Elizabeth Coulter, and an uncle, Jimmy Evan Coulter.
