Mrs. Christine Wright Anderson Fortenberry, 86 of Centre, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 31, 2012. Mrs. Fortenberry was born in Cherokee County, Alabama and lived her entire life here. She was retired from TDS, and was a member of Centre First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Fortenberry was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister, Mildred Louise Steele; brother-in-law, Sam Steele; husband, Elton J. Anderson; and husband, Loyd Fortenberry.

Mrs. Fortenberry is survived by daughters; Barbara S. Anderson (Ernest) Young, Carol Anderson (Rick) Hester, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and special friends, Earline & Wendell Pruitt and Carolyn Mariani.

Mrs. Fortenberry was the daughter of the late John B. Wright and Bertie Knighten Wright.
