Mrs. Hellen Eugenia (Genie) Cannon Archer, 71, of Montgomery, passed away on December 17, 2012 in Knoxville, Tenn. Mrs. Archer was born in Centre. After graduating from Cherokee County High School, she attended Auburn University and was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She married David Bruce Archer of Miami, FL on June 2, 1962 and moved to Montgomery in 1966.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Cherokee Memory Gardens with Rev. Alan Reid officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 Friday, December 21, 2012 at Perry Funeral Home. Mrs. Archer is survived by a daughter, Dawn Archer (Mark) Israel; son, Daniel Edward (Keri) Archer and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Archer was the daughter of Herman Eugene (Scoot) Cannon and Helen Arnold Cannon.
