Mrs. Lola V. Jenkins Calaway, 89 of Centre, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Calaway was a native of Cherokee County, and was a member of the Highway 9 Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Baxley officiating. Burial followed in Cherokee Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Autism Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or flowers will be accepted. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net.

Survivors include four daughters, Elaine (Billy) Brooks and Marilyn (Tim) Sanders of Centre, Annette (John) Currier of Dothan and Nancy (Jeff) Burkhalter of Cordova, TN; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Charlotte Grimes, Emmilene Keener, Sarah Weiss, Millie Roberts and Teresa Utter; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Calaway was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Calaway and sons, Stanley and Delmas Calaway.

Mrs. Lola V. Jenkins Calaway was the daughter of the late David Wilson and Lillie McGinnis Jenkins.
