Mrs. Margaret Easterwood, 81, of Cave Spring, passed away Wednesday morning, October 3, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Easterwood was a native of Randolph County, Alabama. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Rome. She was a retired homemaker.

Funeral services for Mrs. Easterwood will be held Friday morning, October 5, 2012, at 11:00 am at the graveside of the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome with Rev. Alan Fuller officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to the Rome Chapter of the Cancer Navigators, 1013 North Fifth Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30161. John House’s Cave Spring Chapel directing.

Survivors include sons, Gary Easterwood of Calhoun, and Glen Easterwood and his wife Lillian of Cave Spring, two grand-daughters, one great-grand-daughter, a special friend and cousin, Diane Taylor.

Mrs. Easterwood was the daughter of the late Thomas Everage Binson and Beulah Taylor Binson.

Mrs. Easterwood was preceded in death by her husband, Burnice Mack Easterwood, her parents, her infant daughter, Evelyn Easterwood and her sister, Mrs. Martha Ann Wynn.
