Mrs. Sybil Louise Steed Knight, 86, of Gadsden passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Knight was a native of Centre and a long time resident of Gadsden.

Graveside services will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Piedmont with the Rev. Michael Yopp officiating and Thompson Funeral Home of Piedmont in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Loyd Nathaniel Knight; a son, Phillip Mac Knight; her parents, Donald W. Steed, Ida Bell Donohoe Steed; two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters; Gemma Knight Crowder of Bullard , Texas and Judy Knight Beck of Gadsden; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
