MRS. VIRGINIA CONWAY CHANDLER

Mrs.Virginia Conaway Chandler, 97 of LaFayette Georgia, formerly of Centre, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at her daughter’s residence. Mrs. Chandler was a native of Cherokee County. She was retired from Centre Manufacturing Company and was the oldest member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 2013 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Burgess officiating. Burial followed in Cherokee Memory Gardens. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net.

Survivors include daughter, Ellen (Fred) Rea of LaFayette, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Chandler; brothers, Luther R. Conaway, Charlie Conaway; sisters, Roxie Bishop, Ethel Bishop and Sybil Turner.

Mrs. Chandler was the daughter of the late George Thomas and Alma Parker Conaway.
