Mrs. Winnie Payne, 83 of Centre passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Payne was a native of Cherokee County, and was a Baptist by faith.

Funeral services for Mrs. Payne will be 11 am Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Tuesday. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net.

Mrs. Payne is survived by her son; Billy Payne of Leesburg, daughters; Mildred (Linnie) Stansell of Sand Rock, Margaret (Bobby) Farrar of Centre, sisters; Dean Sanford of Cedar Bluff, Jean Ramsey and Lonnie Black both of Calhoun, Geo., and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Payne was the daughter of the late Jim and Lela Kelly Haggard.
