Ms. Betty Ruth Sims, 75 of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Jacksonville Nursing Home and Rehab. Ms. Sims was a native of Calhoun County.

Graveside service will be held 1 pm Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Jacksonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 pm Saturday at Perry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net.

She is survived by her sons; Terry Foster of Gadsden, Tommy Sims of Crossville, daughter; Daphne Moore of Fyffe, brothers; James Measles of Jacksonville, Monroe (Brenda) Measles of Piedmont, sisters; Angnes Glass of Jacksonville, Joyce Petracco of Jacksonville, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Sims was the daughter of the late William James Measles and Nobie Virginia Braggs.
