RAINBOW CITY – Sand Rock senior guards Brannon Burt and Justin Kyser both scored in double figures to lift the Wildcats to a 71-54 victory over Westbrook Christian in Class 2A, Area 13 basketball action Tuesday.

Burt netted a game-high 25 points and Kyser came away with 15 points for the Wildcats (14-7, 7-0). Matt Graham and Bryant Beard finished with 10 points apiece.

Zack Swagert led Westbrook with 10 points.

Sand Rock hosts Gabriel Christian out of Tennessee on Thursday.

Cedar Bluff 72, Gaylesville 33

GAYLESVILLE – DeAngelo Hardy led four Cedar Bluff Tigers in double figures in a 72-33 victory at Gaylesville on Tuesday.

Hardy finished with 12 points for the No. 4 Tigers (16-2, 7-0 Class 1A, Area 14). Tony McGinnis added 12 points. Tyric Scales came away with 11 points and Terrance Scales had 10 points.

Trey Jordan led the Trojans (2-16) with 11 points.

Cedar Bluff hosts Chattooga, Ga. on Saturday. Gaylesville hosts Spring Garden on Thursday.

Collinsville 65, Ider 61

RAINSVILLE – In the DeKalb County Tournament Tuesday, Collinsville’s Tyler Tidmore scored 22 points to lead the Panthers to a 65-61 victory over Ider.

Nathan Coker added 12 points and four assists for Collinsville (12-6). DeShawn Moore came away with 10 points and six rebounds. Davey Posey finished with 11 points.

Collinsville will face Crossville in the tournament semifinals on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Girls

Sand Rock 51, Westbrook 32

RAINBOW CITY – Karlie Anderson scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds, helping the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats pick up a 51-32 Class 2A, Area 13 victory over Westbrook Christian on Tuesday.

Lana Bell and Amber Henderson added nine points apiece for the Lady Wildcats (10-8, 5-0).

Mary Katherine Catanzaro led Westbrook with eight points.

Sand Rock will host Gabriel Christian out of Tennessee on Thursday.

Cedar Bluff 50, Gaylesville 24

GAYLESVILLE – Audrey Harguitt netted 13 points and Katie McGinnis added nine points to lift Cedar Bluff past Gaylesville 50-24 on Tuesday.

The win evened Cedar Bluff’s record to 9-9 and 4-3 in Class 1A, Area 14 play.

Sydney Hammett led Gaylesville with seven points.

Cedar Bluff hosts Chattooga, Ga. on Saturday. Gaylesville hosts Spring Garden on Thursday.

Sylvania 67, Collinsville 64

RAINSVLLE – Kristen Ford posted 30 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough for the Collinsville Lady Panthers Tuesday in the DeKalb County Tournament. They fell 67-64 to Sylvania.

Christy Cox added 14 points and five assists for the Lady Panthers (6-9). Kiana Ford came away with 10 points and Brittney Tidmore dished out nine assists.

Taylor Frasier led the Lady Rams with 28 points. Ashley McKee added15 points and Hannah Haynes had 12.

Collisnville (6-9) hosts Gaylesville on Monday.
