The Molly Kirby Reunion is scheduled for this weekend, July 1-3. Kirby, according to historical information, was the first-known mid-wife in this area. She worked with Local Famed Herbalist Tommy Bass and is mentioned in his book. Events begin Friday at 10 a.m. at Days Inn, with a reception scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Saturday events begin at 10 a.m. at the ROC and should last until around 7 p.m. Events will continue Sunday, July 3, at Providence Baptist Church in Leesburg.
