The SO-COOL (School’s Out-Camp Of Organized Learning) Summer Youth Program, sponsored by Centre Rotary Club and the Cherokee County Alcoholism/Substance Abuse Council continues at the National Guard Armory from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visit Cherokee Rock Village and enjoy beautiful views, rock climbers from around the world and even hanggliding. To get to Rock Village, travel Highway 411 to the four-way stop in Leesburg, turn right, turn left on Cherokee County Road 36, travel to the intersection of County Road 36 and 70 and follow the signs.

Visit the historic Cornwall Furnace on Cherokee County Road 92 in Cedar Bluff.

Cherokee County Celebrate Recovery offers support groups for chemical dependency, co-dependency, grief, divorce and loved ones of chemical dependency, and much more. Child care available. Call 393-2861 for more information.

The Summer Reading Program continues. Participants can read books and earn prizes. During Summer Reading, there will be special Friday programs with great guests and activities. The programs are from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This coming Friday, July 8, will be the Amazing Foam Party, the final event in the Summer Reading Program.
