Centre Farmer’s Market gathers each Thursday at the former National Guard Armory from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tent rental is $10. All farmers are invited to participate.

Cherokee County Public Library is offering art clases for children ages 8-14 with Cloud Farrow from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Children must provide their own 8 x 10 sketich pad and two charcoal pencils. For more information, please call 256-927-5838.

Water aerobics are currently underway at the Centre Pool with Instructor Donna Young. You do not have to sign up in advance. Just show up Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 7 p.m. The classes run for about 45 minutes to an hour in length. The cost is $5 per session – payable at each session. It is open to anyone ages 16 and up. Please remember that there is no childcare available at the classes. We hope to see you there.

The Cherokee County Board of Education meets at 6 p.m. at the central office on Main Street in Centre.

The Cherokee County Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. in the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce meeting room on the Gadsden State Community College-Cherokee Campus, 801 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre. Guest speaker will be Pat Sherrill who will discuss the diaries of Zillah Haynie Brandon of Gaylesville and Sarah Rousseau Espy of Leesburg.
