Cherokee County Chapter 3216, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) will meet at 10 a.m. in the conference room of Cherokee Medical Center. Speaker will be Teresa Sauls, director, Cherokee County Department of Human Resources. The public is invited and lunch is available in the cafeteria.

The Family Care Center at 1014 West Main St. includes a Thrift Store open to the public Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Family Care Center helps others by giving clothing, food and possibly hope to families in their time of need. The Center asks for your help by supporting its thrift stores. There are currently two locations, the one in Centre and another at 5511 Main St. in Hokes Bluff. The Center is currently helping more than 100 families per week and thanks the community for its continued support. Director is Cindy McGinnis.

The Centre Lions Club meets at noon at Lanny’s Restaurant.

Cornerstone Baptist Church is holding a revival July 31 through Aug. 7 with the Rev. Jim Colley. For more information, please call 256-706-0574.

The Cherokee County High School Tennis Camp will be held Aug. 1-5. For more information, call Brooke Tallent at 256-458-5376.
