The Low Vision Support Group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Cherokee County Public Library in Centre.

The Centre-Cherokee County-Piedmont Regional Airport Authority will meet at the airport beginning at 11 a.m.

The American Legion is sponsoring a Police and Fire Department Recognition ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. in the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce meeting room on the campus of Gadsden State Community College-Cherokee.

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 5:15 p.m., the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Cherokee County will hold its monthly committee meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. all committee members are encouraged to attend. At 6:30 p.m. the team meeting will begin and all team captains and team members encouraged to attend. These meetings are informative and will get everyone up to date on what fundraisers are taking place within the county. The public is invited to attend.
