SAND ROCK – Ashley Norris netted eight points and grabbed eight rebounds in leading the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a 39-16 basketball victory over Pleasant Valley on Tuesday.

Amber Ashley added seven points and four boards for the Lady Wildcats (11-12), who finished area play undefeated at 8-0. Emily Langley had six points, five assists and five steals. Courtney Rowe contributed 12 steals and five assists.

Jesse Abernathy had nine rebounds and two points. Shelley Sonaty and Madison Smith both finished with four points. Smith also had seven rebounds.

Sand Rock travels to Glencoe on Thursday.

Sand Rock boys 55, Pleasant Valley boys 46

SAND ROCK – Dylan Mackey scored 16 points and Chad Thompson tossed in 13 to lead the Sand Rock Wildcats to a 55-46 victory over Class 2A, Area 13 rival Pleasant Valley on Tuesday.

Matt Graham finished with 12 points for the Wildcats (17-7), who finished up area play at 7-1.

Sand Rock led 27-23 at halftime and maintained its advantage throughout the second half.

Collinsville girls 61, Valley Head girls 53

COLLINSVILLE – Kristen Ford came away with 20 points and Christy Cox contributed 17 to lead the Collinsville Lady Panthers past Valley Head Tuesday. The final was 61-53.

Kiana Ford added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the seventh-ranked Lady Panthers (18-8). Brittany Tidmore finished with nine points and 11 assists.

Collinsville hosts Westbrook Christian on Friday.

Collinsville boys 80, Valley Head boys 41

COLLINSVILLE – Davey Posey posted 15 points and eight rebounds and David Hernandez added 12 points and seven boards in leading the Class 1A, No. 10 Collinsville Panthers to an 80-41 area victory over Valley Head on Tuesday.

Nathan Coker finished with 10 points for the Panthers (16-6).

Piedmont girls 58, Wellborn girls 20

ANNISTON – Paige Webb connected on four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points in leading the Piedmont Lady Bulldogs to a 58-20 victory at Class 3A, Area 9 rival Wellborn on Tuesday.

Kayla Allen added 12 points for the Lady Bulldogs (16-9, 6-1). Sarah Garner contributed 11 points. Breanna Thompson tallied 10 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Piedmont hosts White Plains on Friday.

Piedmont boys 85, Wellborn boys 56

ANNISTON – Sloan Garner scored a game-high 27 points in leading the Class 3A, No. 6 Piedmont Bulldogs to an 85-56 victory over Area 9 rival Wellborn on Tuesday.

Trevor Ford sank three treys and finished with 20 points for Piedmont (15-9, 5-2). Chris Strott finished with 10 points.
