GLENCOE – Cherokee County’s own Jake Minnix, Lee Morgan, Scott Hays and Kurt Duryea topped the field Saturday at the Pleasant Valley High School scramble on the Robert Trent Golf Trail at Silver Lakes in Glencoe.

The challenging Silver Lakes layout proved to be even more demanding due to temperatures that began in the low 40s. Complicating matters further were wind gusts of up to 21 mph.

Despite the difficulties the Centre group finished at 12-under, which clinched the championship flight title by a stroke.
