Cherokee County’s 14th Annual Home and Garden Show 2012 is Friday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Gadsden State Community College-Cherokee Arena, sponsored by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce.

Team Angela will be having an annual fund-raiser yard sale in the old Centre Middle School Gymnasium in downtown Centre. Items for sale include: Housewares, linens, furniture, appliances, electronics,collectibles,clothing, toys, baby items and more. All proceeds go to American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Call 256-504-5998 to donate items for the sale. Donations are tax deductible.

In high school baseball action, Spring Garden plays at Mountain Brook (DH) beginning at 4:30 p.m. and Piedmont plays at Alexandria (DH) beginning at 4:30 p.m.

In high school softball action, Gaylesville plays at Coosa Christian beginning at 4:30 p.m. and Piedmont plays at Calhoun County Tournament (Woodland Park) to be announced.
