A Drama Camp is currently being held through June 28 in the Gadsden State Community College-Cherokee Community Room featuring dance, music and acting, from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Instructor is Blair Perry. Cost is $85 per student.

The SO-COOL (School’s Out-Camp of Organized Learning), sponsored by the Centre Rotary Club and Cherokee County Alcoholism/Substance Abuse Council is now taking place Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the National Guard Armory in Centre through July 13.

The Cherokee County Public Library’s Wee Readers program will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Looking for a good chess opponent? The Cherokee County Chess Club meets at the Cherokee County Public Library from 3: 30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The Centre City Council meets at 5 p.m. at Centre City Hall.
