ALBERTVILLE — Two Panthers posted double-doubles and four scored in double figures as eighth-ranked Collinsville defeated Cedar Bluff 66-56 in a Class 1A, Area 12 boys’ tournament semifinal Friday.

The eighth-ranked Panthers (16-10) take on No. 7 Asbury (19-6) in the tournament championship on Monday in Albertville. Asbury defeated Gaston 50-33 in other area semifinal action on Friday.

Sharrard Crawley scored 14 points and had 14 rebounds for Collinsville. Robert Gray scored 10, grabbed 10 rebounds and had eight assists. Tyler Tidmore also scored 14 points and made five assists. Trey Jones added 12 points.

Tyric Scales’ 30 points led Cedar Bluff (14-13). Marcus Reese scored 17.

Class 2A, Area 12

Sand Rock 58, West End 36

GERALDINE — Justin Mackey scored 13 points to lead Sand Rock to a 58-36 victory against West End in the Class 2A, Area 12 tournament on Friday.

Brannon Burt added 12 points and Justin Kyser had 10 points for the Wildcats (20-9).

Shawn Brehm led the Patriots with 14 points.

Sand Rock faces Geraldine for the area championship on Monday at Geraldine.

The Bulldogs defeated Westbrook Christian 67-50 in the other area semifinal on Friday.

Class 3A, Area 10

Piedmont 47, Glencoe 44

WHITE PLAINS — Piedmont edged by Glencoe 47-44 in the Class 3A, Area 10 boys’ tournament.

Three Bulldogs scored in double figures. Christian Cantrell led Piedmont (20-10) with 16 points while Marquise Diamond and Daniel Hammett scored 10 apiece.

Jett Parker’s double-double, 13 points and 15 rebounds, paced the Yellow Jackets (9-20) in the loss. Brock Kirby scored 10 points and had six assists.
