The Warrior basketball camps are set for July 30, 31 and Aug. 1. The camp for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Centre Middle School Gym. The cost is $35.
Another camp for kids in grades 6-9 will be held the same days from noon until 3 p.m., also at the Centre Middle School Gym. The cost for that camp is $40.
Camp participants will be instructed in the basic fundamentals. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt.
On Aug. 6-7 and 9-10, Cherokee County High School will hold a tennis camp at the City of Centre tennis courts from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The camp is for children ages 5-16, and the cost is $40.
The camp is designed to teach the basics of tennis. Drills, games and daily prizes are also part of the camp. Participants are asked to bring their own racket. Tennis balls will be provided.
