Funeral services will be 3 pm Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Burgess, Rev. Melvyn Salter and Rev. Lynn Hughston officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Friday. Memorials may be made to Spring Creek Fire Dept. or the family will accept flowers. Survivors include son, Rickey (Francine) Young, Centre, daughter, June Mackey, Centre, brothers, Frank (Ellen) Garmon, Centre, Joe (Ellen) Garmon, Gadsden, brother-in-law, Roscoe Young, Rainsville, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Young, brothers, John Arthur, William S. and David Garmon, and sister, Virginia Ann Garmon.
Mrs. Young was the daughter of the late John and Jewel Garmon.
