The SO-COOL (School’s Out-Camp of Organized Learning), sponsored by the Centre Rotary Club and Cherokee County Alcoholism/Substance Abuse Council is now taking place Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the National Guard Armory in Centre through July 13.

The Cherokee County Public Library invites everyone to participate in the library’ summer reading programs, “Dream Big.” All programs are from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day. On Friday, July 13, the Cherokee County Public Library will hold its Foam Party for participants who returned their reading folders having read 25 books!

Spring Creek Fire Department will have a Door to Door Donation Drive to update equipment during the month of July. Firefighters will wear ID Badge and will drive the fire truck for this campaign. All donations are tax deductible.

Shiloh Baptist Church in Leesburg will host Camp Shiloh July 9-13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each evening. There will be food, fun and activities for ages toddler through teen. For more information, call Sandi at 256-458-3938.

Cherokee County Celebrate Recovery offers support groups for chemical dependency, co-dependency, grief, divorce and loved ones of chemical dependency, and much more. Child care available. Call 393-2861 for more information.
