The Family Care Center at 1014 West Main St. includes a Thrift Store open to the public Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Family Care Center helps others by giving clothing, food and possibly hope to families in their time of need. The Center asks for your help by supporting its thrift stores. There are currently two locations, the one in Centre and another at 5511 Main St. in Hokes Bluff. The Center is currently helping more than 100 families per week and thanks the community for its continued support. Director is Cindy McGinnis.

Spring Creek Fire Department will have a Door to Door Donation Drive to update equipment during the month of July. Firefighters will wear ID Badge and will drive the fire truck for this campaign. All donations are tax deductible.

Cherokee County Public Library presents Story Time on the Bookmobile beginning at 10 a.m. Come attend!

Looking for a good chess opponent? The Cherokee County Chess Club meets at the Cherokee County Public Library from 3: 30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Menlo, Ga. Church of Christ will have Homecoming and Gospel meetings July 15-18. Sunday meetings begin at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday evening services begin at 7 p.m. eastern time. Speaker will be Brother Gary Stanfield from Albertville.
