The game time was released as part of the SEC's announcement of its television schedule for the first three weeks of the season on Monday morning.
The 6 p.m. kickoff sets a game time for all but one of the Gamecocks' 2012 contests, with the only exception being the season finale at Florida on Nov. 17.
The opener at the Razorbacks will start a season that will pit JSU against an SEC team for the third year in a row. JSU defeated Ole Miss in double overtime in its 2010 opener and lost at Kentucky late in the 2011 campaign.
It will be the first time the Gamecocks have faced two SEC schools and just the second time they have played two BCS conference programs in the same year. JSU played at Atlantic Coast Conference foes Georgia Tech and Florida State, respectively, in the first two games of the 2009 season.
A limited number of tickets to the Arkansas and Florida games are available for purchase through the JSU Athletic Ticket office. Tickets for the Arkansas game are $45, while Florida tickets are $50.
Fans who wish to sit in the Jacksonville State section must purchase their tickets through the JSU Athletic Ticket Office.
Full season ticket packages are also on sale for the 2012 Gamecock home schedule. Season ticket packages are available for as low as $90 and includes home games against Chattanooga, Southeast Missouri State, Tennessee State, Murray State and Austin Peay.
