MR. CHARLES ALAN HOWELL

Mr. Charles Alan Howell, 56, of Cave Spring, formerly of Temple and Bremen, passed away Saturday morning, July 28, 2012, in a Rome hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Howell was born in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to moving to Cave Spring, Mr. Howell had made his home in Temple and Bremen, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Bremen, where he had served as youth minister, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the choir. Mr. Howell was a self employed entrepreneur, having owned a roofing company and prior to ill health a chemical supply company.

Mr. Howell is survived by his children, Mrs. Amy Sprayberry of Mississippi, Charles Alan Howell, Jr. of Mississippi, and Miss Haley Howell of Bremen, parents, Charles and Willie Ree Howell of Cave Spring, sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Potter of Cartersville, Mrs. Charla Peoples of Adairsville and Mrs. Denise Castro of Adairsville, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and Mrs. Beth James and Mrs. Allison Howell.

Funeral services for Mr. Alan Howell were held Sunday afternoon, July 29, 2012, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bremen with Dr. J. Howard Mills and Dr. John Connell officiating.
