Mr. Earl Joe Harp, 73 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Mr. Harp was a native of Cherokee County, and was a member of St. Mary’s United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be 12 pm Friday, August 4, 2012 at St. Mary’s United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michael Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Fife Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 pm Friday at the church. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Brooks Harp, sons, Darryle Hobson, Anthony Harp, daughter, Nicole Matthews, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan, step-son, LaJuan Spivey, Atlanta, step-daughter, Tremaine Mosley, Atlanta, sister, Ida Mae Lockett, Kalamazoo, Michigan, 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Mr. Harp was the son of the late Willard and Shaddie Ann Almon Harp.
