CEDAR BLUFF – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers put an end to their five-match losing streak Tuesday, sweeping Class 1A, Area 13 rival Spring Garden and Jacksonville Christian.

Cedar Bluff (3-6, 1-0 area) defeated Spring Garden 25-18, 25-14, 15-25 and 25-11. The Lady Tigers won the nightcap 27-25 and 25-13.

In the win over Spring Garden, Audrianna Hargitt posted 23 kills, seven aces and five digs. Hannah Leach added 12 kills, 10 digs and an ace. Raveen McElrath contributed 30 assists, 12 digs and a pair of aces. Paige Bryant had 26 digs, two kills, two aces and four assists.

Abby Storey managed eight digs, three kills, two aces and an assist. Brooke Wood had four assists, a dig and a block. Marigrace Wilson finished with a kill, a block and an assist.

Hargitt led the Lady Tigers against Jacksonville Christian, posting eight kills, six digs, five aces and a block. Leach had seven kills, four aces, three digs and an assist. McElrath managed 13 assists, seven digs and two aces.

Storey came away with four kills, a dig and an ace. Wilson also had four kills to go along with a dig. Bryant contributed four digs and two aces. Wood finished with two kills and an ace.

Cedar Bluff travels to Gaston on Thursday beginning at 5 p.m.
