Plane snaps power line, goes down in Riverside Campground area

Some 3,500 Cherokee Electric Cooperative customers found themselves without power Saturday morning when a private plane apparently snapped a power line and went down in the Riverside Campground area of Cedar Bluff. The incident was reported around 10 a.m.

Reports indicated that the pilot was from Guntersville and was only one on board. Rescue crews remained on the scene early Saturday afternoon.
