Centre receives $450,000 CDBG grant for sewer rehab projects

State Senator Phil Williams recently announced that the City of Centre has received a $450,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) which will be used to rehab or replace sewer lines and rehab manholes.

The project will start at 411 and Bay Springs Road to the Cherokee County Career and Technology Center, Shiloh Street, Brooks Street and Hatcher Drive.

Beginning at 461 Cedar Bluff Road to the CVS Pharmacy, new sewer lines will be laid outside of curb.

The sewer line going through the Centre City Park will be rehabbed or replaced and parts of Park Street and also a section of sewer line will be rehabbed of replaced at the corner of North River Street and Maple Street.
