Mrs. Mae Belle Parris, 91 of Gaylesville, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome. Mrs. Parris was a native of Rome, Georgia. She was a Postal Service carrier and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Funeral services held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Ledford and Rev. Jamie Maples officiating. Burial followed in the Moseley Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Moseley Cemetery fund. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda (Alvin Wright) Wehunt, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Parris was preceded in death by husbands Hardy Tracy and Harry Parris, sisters, Mildred Mitchell, Annie Perkins, Kathleen O’Shields, Margaret Jennings, and Hazel Erwin.

Mrs. Parris was the daughter of the late Arnold and Myrtle Atkins Carr.
