MRS. VIRGINIA SUE RUTLEDGE

Mrs. Virginia Sue Rutledge 86, of the Coosa community passed away Saturday morning, September 22, 2012. A native of Cherokee County, Alabama, Mrs. Rutledge was born May 21, 1926. She was a member of the Little Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Rutledge enjoyed crocheting, sewing, yard sales, and taking care of her yard and flowers.

Survivors include her daughter Teresa Adams, Rome; son David Rutledge, Rome; Grandchildren Tonya Nash, Scottie Adams, Jesse Tapp, Beverly Rutledge, Shonda Rutledge, and Keith McCollum. Great grand children Camron Nash, Cooper Nash, McKenzie Trapp, Kyleigh Adams, Ammison Silvey, Harlen Usry and Bronson Tapp also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Reverend Franklin Towe officiating. Mrs. Rutledge was preceded in death by her sons Emory Thomas Rutledge, Bobby Gene Rutledge, and her husband Henry Thomas Rutledge in 1992.
