Mrs. Doris E. Dover, of Gaylesville passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Dover was born in Rock Spring, Georgia. She was a member of the Old Way Baptist Church and prior to retirement, was employed with Mt. Vernon Mills.

Mrs. Dover is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dover; son, Robert Dover of Trion; daughters and son-in-law, Debra and Steve Collins, and Susan Sprayberry of Gaylesville; Brother, Wayne Sweet of Trion; sister, Annie Mae Broadrick of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dover will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery. Mrs. Dover will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Monday, October 1, 2012.

Mrs. Dover was the daughter of the late Samuel Jayhue Sweet and Helena Mae Baker Sweet.

Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dover; granddaughter, Tosha Collins; sister, Ruth Ford; and a brother, Charles Sweet.
