Mr. Jack Monroe Simpson, 73, of Silver Creek, passed away Monday October 1, 2012 in a Rome Medical Center.

Mr. Simpson was born in Gaylesville, Alabama. He was retired from White- Shawn Industries. Mr. Simpson was a avid Alabama Fan, and Atlanta Braves Fan. He was a graduate of Gaylesville High School. Loved people and loved his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mr. Simpson was of the Methodist Faith, and a Mason.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kirk Spears, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Judy Chambers Simpson, and the mother of his children, Juanita Simpson, children, Barry Simpson, and his wife, Robins, Silver Creek; Sherri Stowers, and her husband Michael, Rome; Sonnett Bearden, and her husband, Richard, Acworth; Kathy Canup, and her husband, Ernie, Cartersville; Michael Chambers, Rome; brothers, Earl Simpson, and his wife, Lucille, Gaylesville; Wayne Simpson and his wife, Christine, Gaylesville; sisters, Joann Smith and her husband, Jodean, Rome; Janet Renfroe, and her husband, Jack, Anniston, Al; Nelta Woods and her husband, Douglas, Anniston; grandchildlren, Bryant Simpson, Haley Cagle, Brody Bearden, Robert Canup, Stacy Saunderson, Haley and Heidi. Great grandchildren, Charles, Audery, Katie, Rick, Ethan, and Hannah, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his brother, D.H. (Buddy) Simpson, and sister, Alma Knight.

Mr. Simpsom was the son of the late David Hughes Simpson and Lottie Mae Sutton Simpson.
