Funeral services for Mr. Chesnut will be 2 pm Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the home of his parents at 130 County Road 201, Leesburg with Rev. John Raley officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence Friday and Saturday evening. Mr. Chesnut is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia “Lula” Reed Chesnut, brother; James (Carol) Chesnut, sisters; Laura Mae (Jim) Lankford, Mary Jane (Mark) Tidwell, Uncle; brothers; Charles Wayne Reed, Judie Ann (Hubert Bailey) Reed, Jeanette (Jerry) Kiser, Wilburn Sherrill (Donna) Reed, Verna Kay (Bobby Joe) Henderson, Elaine (John) Raley, Vickie Reed, and Becky Reed, one uncle, one aunt, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by in-laws; Charles and Mary Reed, sister-in-law; Clara Sue Reed, brothers-in-law; Arlon Reed and Deaner Reed, Sr.
Mr. Chesnut was the son of the late Eldon and Vedie Mae Chesnut.
