The Partnership for a Drug-Free Cherokee meets at noon in the meeting room at Lanny’s Restaurant. This meeting is for anyone concerned about our community’s drug epidemic. Lunch is Dutch treat.
Kiwanis of Cherokee County meets from noon until 1 p.m. in the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce headquarters on the campus of Gadsden State Community College-Cherokee, 801 Cedar Bluff Road, Centre, Ala. 35960.
The Cherokee County Park Board meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. in the new office space at 104-B Northwood Drive in Centre in the same building with John Coggin’s Law office and Alabama Power Weiss Lake Shoreline Management Office. Meetings are open to the public.

Alexis Baptist Church is holding Revival Oct. 22-24 beginning at 6 p.m. each evening. The Rev. Wendell Dutton will be the evangelist.
